Senior App Tester

The Senior App Tester is responsible for leading the testing efforts of our mobile applications, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards for quality and performance. You will work closely with our development and product teams to define testing strategies, develop test plans, and execute tests across various stages of the development lifecycle. Your expertise will not only identify and document issues but also play a critical role in the resolution process, ensuring our applications deliver a seamless and exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive test plans to ensure that our mobile applications meet and exceed industry standards of quality and performance.
Lead the execution of test cases, both manual and automated, to identify, reproduce, and report bugs and issues.
Collaborate with development teams to prioritise bug fixes and manage the defect lifecycle.
Provide detailed and constructive feedback to development and product teams to support continuous improvement.
Stay abreast of new testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices to continuously refine and enhance testing processes.
Mentor junior testers, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in app testing methodologies and best practices.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Senior App Tester or similar role, with a solid track record of identifying, documenting, and helping to resolve complex application issues.
Strong knowledge of mobile application testing, including functional, usability, performance, and security testing, on both iOS and Android platforms.
Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, XCTest, Espresso).
Familiarity with programming languages and scripting (e.g., Java, Python) for test script development.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
